About the Artist Mike Wilks
Mike was born in London and studied art from the age of 13. First at junior art school then at Croydon College of Art where he studied graphic design.
After graduating in 1967 Mike worked as a graphic designer for various design groups and agencies until in 1970. He then became a founding partner of his own design company. TWD was based in Covent Garden, London, where he and his team designed work for many blue-chip clients. Five years later and on the back of great success I resigned to pursue my love of painting and drawing.
Today Mike’s paintings and drawings can be found in public and private collections in Europe and the USA and he continues to work hard creating new paintings and drawings in his studio-pub. Mike hopes you enjoy looking at his images and reading my words as much as he enjoyed making them.
