Simon Lucas was working part-time in the adult games department in Selfridges in London while doing a degree in fashion and textiles. The supplier of bridge cloths had become unreliable, and knowing that Simon was gifted at sewing, the department buyer asked him if he could make some bridge cloths for Selfridges, to which he agreed. Before delivering the cloths to Selfridges, Simon made a detour to Harrods to show the cloths to the buyer there. The Harrods buyer was so impressed with the quality of the cloths that he placed an order with Simon there and then. And so Simon’s business was born!
Simon graduated from university in 1990 with a first class degree, then focused his talent and enthusiasm into making bridge cloths full-time. His ethos, which is still the same today, is to produce cloths as close to perfection as possible using the very best materials available.
Simon Lucas is now internationally renowned for producing quality gaming cloths, and he supplies some of the most luxurious stores in the world with cloths and, more recently, other top-quality items for bridge such as playing cards, score pads and gift sets. All cloths are made to order and are still made by hand by us in our workshop in Wiltshire, to the same exacting high standards that Simon has always demanded.
At Simon Lucas Bridge Supplies, we pride ourselves on producing top quality products. All our cloths are produced with our name on – if it doesn’t say Simon Lucas on the label, it hasn’t been made by us!
Today, Simon Lucas Bridge Supplies still produces top quality bridge cloths which we sell to the trade and directly to the public. We also have a growing range of own-brand items for bridge, particularly playing cards. Like our cloths, our playing cards are top quality using the best materials available.
In addition to our own-brand products, we offer a wide range of equipment, gifts and accessories for bridge players. We pride ourselves on sourcing a good range of products and if we can pick up a good deal on a particular product, we pass that saving onto you.
Our customers are very important to us and your opinions are keenly listened to. Feedback is greatly appreciated (good or bad) as it allows us to make changes and improvements to our products and services.
