About the Artist William Morris

William Morris needs little introduction. One of the most famous British textile designers, his work captured the zeitgeist and became synonymous of the Arts and Crafts Movement. He is well known for his unmistakable tapestries, furniture, fabrics, wall paper and even stained glass. The non-standard size playing cards, 63 x 95mm, have two index faces suitable for right-handed players. The card faces 2-10 have suit symbols, and J-A feature typographic designs in the style of William Morris. The card backs are decorated with William Morris’ textile designs.
